Egocentric Maps on Mobile Devices

چکیده
The increasing resources and computing power of mobile computers leads to high performance user support in application fields like personal task management systems, navigation aids or interactive maps. The special needs of an user oriented visualisation tool for displaying maps and floor plans leads to innovative application and usable techniques for mobile devices. This report describes the idea, conception, and experimental evaluation of a user oriented, egocentric map on a mobile device that is orientated using the sun position or sensor information of an electronic compass.
